Fleet Commands
So I finally built 3 ships in campaign mode and want to start attacking other factions. Problem is, I can't get my ai controlled ships to actually move where i want them to. When in the E menu, when in the map, I've issued orders and they just don't really seem to care.

I can set them to "combat" in the ai settings (i've tried patrol, on, and even off) and they'll move to engage enemies, but I still can't actually control them. Just play red light, green light pretty much.

have you got a patrol chip in the AI mainframe?
The issue isn't the ai setup. Each boat AI i make always has the naval card, target prioritization, the aiming one, the one under that, and then the patrol card.

I figured out to "take them out of play" to get them to move but I still don't understand:

1. Why I have to "remove them from play" just to MOVE them.

2. Why there's a "remove from play" option at all. What's the point of that?

remove from play is so your pc doesnt kill itself as soon as you load your game lol.
got you. i see the point now. it also helps get things unstuck which is very handy.

more issues though. i finally built a plane and i can't figure out where its flying off to because its trying to leave the map and how i can have it patrol a circle in my tile. i know how to set patrol points but the altitude is always 0.

the ai is just so erradic and there's barely any information when i google anything. i wish this aspect was as smooth as all the others.
Also, what is the difference between "off" and "on"? they both seem off to me? and how is patrol different than on? what do they do when "on" if not patrol or combat?
