For Helicopter blades, you're looking for them in the Air section. you're going to be in this section for all of the control surfaces for the helicopter. Carefully read every type of helicopter blade. The stabilzed ones are easier to use but can limit the speed of the helicopter, depending on how you build it.
For the rotors, you're looking to use a spin block and set to to Continuous, or continuous reverse, depending on the blades you picked. You'll need to construct a center shaft for the blades, and then place the blades accordingly.
You'll want the control surfaces if you picked an unstabilized blade, that'll allow you to control pitch and roll, especially useful for using the unstabilized blades.
The rest of this is a matter of design. If you're going for a 1 to 1 model, you might not like the idea of shoving a cannon on there. It may get a little cramped, since the custom cannons are designed more for naval guns than aircraft guns.
Also heres my go at counter rotating blades http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/44237575907985289/F10E2D643638D270D2A79BC3C3828996E714E8C1/
Using light blocks the one on the bottom can get above the other the bottom one is counter countwise and the top one is clock wise
