Built In Wrong Orientation
My entire vessel was built the wrong way and is making flying almost impossible. Is there a way I can correct this easily without rebuilding my entire vessel?

Yep, just load the craft and click the rotate 90 degrees button in the top right. Continue until aligned.

I don't see it. Can you post a screenshot?

I just scrapped a craft after I noticed that I had built it all in the wrong orientation, well now I know there is a way to correct it.

Here's a screenshot displaying the load menu.

To describe how I got here: Single Player\Vehicle Designer\Escape\Load\(Select a vehicle)\Click that button.

As a note, sometimes this will not fix it the first time around as it may rotate in the wrong direction. In this case, just load it in with the new rotation, save it over the old one and repeat until the vehicle is oriented properly.

So now I have done it in turret building... any way to fix without scrapping it, I aim one way and it points the oposite

Should be the same solution. Is your craft's movement controls correct or is it just the turret that isn't aimed properly?

Just the turret for me, however it doesn't matter I scrapped it after I discovered the orientation issue.

Yeah, I think I know what happened. As I understand it, turret orientation is defined by the direction of that green arrow on the block when you placed it. What happened to you was that you put the gun on backwards. So while the "front" might have been aimed aft, you made a gun pointing towards the bow. This means that the turret will still turn normally, it will just look strange because it's seem to operate in reverse to where you aim. I wonder what would happen if you hooked it up to an AI.

points opposite of enemies and fails to fire due to being unable to aim.

Ships are easier, in the spawn options rotate 90 degrees twice then resave.

So if i have to change it in the vehicle designer? does it transfer over to my campaign? or am i screwed?

If you change orientation in the designer then build it in the campaign it will work.

If you change orientation in the designer then build it in the campaign it will work.

So i have to load it back in then re-construct/repair it?

It MAY be oriented the right way without re-building it but I doub't it, you would have to scrap/rebuild it if it isn't

Yes because i re-oriented it in my vehicle designer, then saved it then hopped back onto my campaign and it wasn't fixed
