Tip for dealing with missiles
So I had some fun with this idea earlier - using vehicle spawners connected to automated control blocks which would spawn 'chaff' behind my planes to avoid missiles. For decoys I used 1 AI mainframe block, 1 balloon deployer, 1 heat decoy block and 1 automated control block to turn the balloons on when the blocks fall below 100. My plane had a pair of spawners with the timers set to spawn every 5 seconds as the ship flew.

It worked really well - the decoys fall initially and then rise up with the balloon and float around the battlefield until they take a stray missile or laser/cannon fire. Defensively, however, the chaff field is fairly cheap to set up and draws a lot of fire away from your forces. Basically, a lot of the enemies get confused with so many targets to shoot at.

good idea for larger aircraft... i find placing heat decoys on rotor blocks really messes with them, espeshally if its onyl one decoy ona heli blade, and a counterwaight on the other end the missiels seem to spaz out when they get close and miss.

with ships i geenrlaly just put a apir of heatdecoy/single ammo barrel on all the conrers so half the enemy fire lands in the water
