Ship keeps leaning
My ship, even when it seems to be balanced on all sides (except the front and back) keeps leaning to the side everytime. So far, this has happend to two of my designs. Anything I'm missing out on?

Only thing I can think of as an amateur myself woudl be the waves. I've had seemingly flat, stabel ships frift or tilt to one direction or another based on waves.; not just the direction waves come from but the tilt they add when your ship bobs in the water.

if it's while it's in motion, either forwards or back check to see if your propulsion and steering is in line with the center of your mass

Try widening it near the waterline, so it looks a bit like a T or Y. That will lower the centre of gravity compared to the centre of buoyancy.
If it only happens when turning, position your rudder further down (unless its leaning to the inside of the turn, then move it up).

I'll look into it. Thanks for the help.

Make sure that you have your propustion in line with you centre of mass crosshairs, if hard to see, press "P" to shrink all the blocks to see it easier, also, use lead blocks to make kneels to counter-balance heavier areas, say huge heavy cannon at the front, drips forward, the place a crap load of lead blocks at the end to balance it. Lead blocks can also be used lower the centre of mass. Have fun :D

sucks though when you want to make a low cost design.

Also, if you have air pumps, crank them down as this seems to make the bottom too "light" sometimes. I've also found adding winglets to the shaft of the prop or to the rear seems to help. But the big one was having air pumps on. Once I removed or turned them way down, the ship stopped it's leaning - until damaged heavily.

Use Jet Stabilizers, they will stabiize you vessel, and they don't use any source of power, they automatically work

they require a minute amount of engine pwer

i have been having this problem not only with the water vessels, but also any kind of hovercraft i try to make (whether helicopter or quad-rotor, or the like). the thrust seems to always be off on one side even when i'm mirroring and counting cubes... I've also noticed that when I'm building, the center X that hovers in front of the object you're creating seems to always drift to one side as i'm building, no longer lining up with the center of mass, even when both sides are EXACTLY the same... any ideas?

I think you got a bug

A keel can also correct this problem. (and rudders seem to be bugged at the moment and make ships lean too much so I use manuvering thrusters instead at both sides of the bow of the ship to turn it.)
I found that a problem may be with the AI when i had the AI it tilted but when i removed it then it was fine

How to move the center of mass?
