Can't go back to controlling my character?

I used to know the controls but now even after checking them again I can't find a way to go back to controling my character after I press E on my keyboard. I can enter build mode but I can't control my character becuase I there doesn't seem to be a button anywhere that lets me go back to that. I feel like either I'm missing something here or something isn't working right. I can't find anything on the controls in the options on how to do this. This is driving crazy trying to figure it out. I would be thankfull for any help so I can play this game again.

Well... I guess if this can't be fixed then I wasted my money on this game, it can't be played like this. I really need help getting this to work right. Otherwise it's money gone down the drain and I'll never be able to play it agian.

Try to look ingame under Options -> Player Controls. I think this is rather well done.
You are probably looking for the Tab-key.
