And you can set up weapon groups, also don't forget the "Fire Control" in the "Control" section, then you can use weapons no matter where on the ship.
You can give orders/way-points via "Q" or "C" and right clicking when you're in "Q" mode.
i get the fire control thing, im saying if im too close to a weapon the AI goes away it seems...can you explain the move order thing a little more? whats Q mode
The player when on "All" weapon selection can use the weapons without the AI hindering them, deselecting them causes them to be used by AI.
It is N, sorry for the misconception, it then shows units with AI, when you have an AI selected you have its AI modes on the side, then you set it to "Patrol" so it moves towards the set waypoint.
If not it wont do it.
Also make sure it can move in the first place.
The ship set in "Combat" mode will do that only in that mode, you can then modify how the AI behaves via the "Naval" or "Aerial" AI card.
On AI Mode: Ship can fire, but cannot move. It will sit still with out making any attempts are staying within set paramaters.
Patrol AI Mode: Will fire at enemies, but will move towards set waypoints disregarding if it will crash or not.
