From The Depths
Is there any way to change the starting fortress?
So because of the new update and resource system i find it very hard to start out a campaign with that massive POS starting fortress. Is there any to start the campaign with one of the small and efficent Fortress I have built?

Make a custom world and you can set what you start with in it.

It will be replaced, by my one, with editing of Kauramafox.

My is effective, and much more practical

It's easier -because custom worlds, last I checked, had plenty of problems- to just build a fortress in designer that uses about 40k wood, 20k metal, 7k oil, and 250 crystal, then save it.

Next, when you enter campaign, scrap the fortress and rapier, build a small wood platform with 6 repair tentacles, then spawn the fortress (remove both from play and click "repair" on the new fortress do the tentacle platform builds it, otherwise power to the turbines can be an issue before the engine gets built).

When done building, put the fort in play and start mining.
It costs you a few minutes, but it's nothing unrecoverable
