Missiles not firing from jet
Hello, this may be a noob issue but I can't seem to fire my air-to-air heat seeking missiles at another flying enemy or any enemy for that matter and all I can do is sit and watch as they shoot me down with missiles or I take manual control and fly and fire at the same time.

I've tried looking at the weapons controller and all the numbers are in the right place, fire within 600m at targets more than 5m above the ground. I have also added propulsion balancing to see if the AI would slow my jet down to give it some breathing space but it still wouldn't fire. Tweaks to the missile controller's restrictions along with required accuracy before firing all proved unsuccessful.

Does anyone have a solution for this? I strongly feel it has nothing to do with the Aerial AI as it does a good job of keeping track of the target, it just doesn't fire, that's all

Try taking off the range limits, and see if that works. I've had some weird issues with range limits before.

Also, on the missile controller, you might want to widen the acceptable firing arc of the weapon , as 2 degrees (the default) usually equals no room for error. Assuming you have a "conventional" IR missile, with fins you can get away with up to a 90 degree angle of fire, and it should still track onto target.

I can't really think of anything but the range restrictions messing up the AI.

Removing the range limit could help but I feel it might do my OCD a serious injury to see my missiles drop out of the air a kilometer from the target. I'll try that on my next FtD session.
The firing arc is up to 40 degrees and the bogey can be right in the middle of the cockpit and it still wouldn't fire. The elevation and azimuth restraints have been adjusted to fire in a 40 degree cone to make it more 'realistic' for my taste.

Just my suggestions. I have no idea if it's going to work.

I also don't know if your LWC is actually properly connected to the mainframe, but I assume you already checked that before posting. Yesterday, I tried reworking a turret for more efficient missile launches, and accidentally broke the LWC connected to it cuz I moved the Reciever to a side it apparently couldn't connect to.
