How do I spawn ships?

How do I spawn ships I've downloaded from the workshop?

Anyway,

press ESC and click "load vehicle" to spawn something you built,
press X to spawn an enemy from the game.

Just like you spawn your own ships.

However to be able to do that you need to do something inside ftd, go to the "vehicle workshop" (bottom right of main menu) and there you can download individual ships you have subscribed to on the workshop. These ships will then end up inside your profile folder next to your own creations.
