Fortresses and Resources
Is there a decent guide or video that anyone acn recommend that explains some of the stuff here in more depth? I've found a few people who have played through and explained some of the stuff, along with another guide on steam that gave tips, but I'm still a little confused on a few things. maybe you guys can answer? :

- I get that mining platforms and fortresses gather resources and add them to your global pool. how do you go about refueling and restocking ships? I saw that there was a pump to transfer to ships, but the starting resource zone seems to barely give off any fuel at all. Does this work by having a lot of fuel tanks on the mining platforms or fortress so that it can then transfer what is stored? Or how does this work? The only way I understand how to do it right now is to delete empty fuel tanks and rebuild them.

- I've seen that pulling a mining platform out of play seems to keep it mining without having it appear on screen. Will it still be able to load in ships as well? And it seems that ships out of play do not consume fuel? If that's true, is that the most efficient way of moving them across map without having to refuel them?

- If a slower ship is the main ship in my fleet it seems that the faster ships take real odd pathing when I tell the fleet to move. Is this intended in order to keep the fleets together, or just a bug?

- The block loading for battles seems to keep only a certain number of ships spawning at once. Is this just for keeping the performance hit on a computer lower?

- What is the best way for finding resource zones? It seems that you can reveal the map by hitting E and just kind of hovering around the world. Also, if you simply destroy a resource platform and then build on top of it, is it considered captured, or do you have to also wipe out any other nearby fleets?

- Are repair bots an effective way of keeping your ships afloat, or what is a better way of keeping everything repaired? (I assume that at one point I will be creating support ships with repair tentacles on them).

- If your mining capabilities in a resource zone outpace the growth of the zone, do you cease gathering resources or does it just slow down? Is it best to find a balance where the amount never hits 0? Or conversely, can someone explain the numbers that show up within resource zones? For instance, the starter one says that there are 100 something natural out of 1000. Is that just the extra left over that i'm not currently mining? If that hits 0 what happens?

Sorry if these are basic or explained elsewhere. I only recently started playing at campaign and am still learning the game. I realize some of this can probably be learned by trial and error, which I intend to do as well. But I've already screwed up one campaign file to the point of needing a restart, so any tips in the future might save me a startover haha.

1. Ammo barrels and FSBs (Fuel Storage Barrels) have a natural replenishment rate, no help required. This is a small drain on your metal and oil

2.No, but it can repair vechiles. You will have to actually go to the fortress and load vehicles there manually

3.Fleets keep their formations when out of play. Yes, it's intentional as far as I know

4.Capturing a Fortress requires the same as capturing as ship, destroying it's AI cores. Resource zones are located at fixed locations

5.Repair bots will only repair the vehicle they are on, repair tentacles will only repair other vechiles. Of course, repair bots have to pathfind to the area they are repairing

6. I'm going to split this one up. a. No, you will not stop gathering resources. b. 100/1000 is the current amount of a resource in that patricular resource zone.

For starting tips: Work on your designs in the designer, do not build in the campaign unless you are confident that your current vechiles are sufficient to beat any enemy attacks for now. Use small, cheap missile armed vechiles. Custom cannons can work too, depending on the cannon.
