Does Target Prediciton Guidance Work with the Laser Designator Reciever?
Quick question, will the Target Prediction module in missiles still function when working with a Laser Designator and Laser Guidance system?

As far as I know it has no effect on the trajectory of laser designator/beam rider missiles or torpedos. So you can use that space for something more useful.

Alright then, thanks! I put it in after I noticed agile missiles couldnt hit the faster DWG planes as they'd tend to go behind them.

Sadly, no...in general they aren't useful for missiles, but I have had success in using them for slower things like torpedoes and bombs (especially torpedoes, where the enemy tends to tack or run almost parallel to the torps, causing them to just barely miss hitting the back of the boat. But the don't work for laser-guided torps, which frequently have the same issues, extra fins for a faster U-turn and extra fuel for comign at them from behind are the only thing you can do with them)

Ok, my setup was
Laser Designator
Explosive WarHead
Fuel

Fin

Fin
Short range Engine
Any reccomendations? It's a small, rather slow ship, intended to work as AA.

Switch your thruster with the 3rd fin. It will cause slightly less drag and cause your missile to go a bit faster and farther for no drawbacks. It will be a slight difference but it is more noticeable with bigger missiles. If you are making Turreted AA missiles the beam rider is slightly better for AA purposes but it must be within 30 degrees of the laser beam to follow it. The beam rider is better because the laser does not need to be directly pointed at the target for the missile to follow the beam. Missiles with laser designation will lose the lock if the beam is not being pointed directly at the target. If you want something for AA perhaps an advanced cannon minigun firing sabot or flak rounds will be very effective against aircraft.

Thanks,. this ship is non turreted. I'm using missiles as I never really got the hang of even custom canon, let alone advanced one. Mine just always seemed hweavier and bulkier while still being inferior to the enemies.

Oh, and surely the thruster has to be placed at the back?

It dosent and actually makes your missile slightly faster
