Missiles flicking backwards on vertical launch
Hi

I am building a starter ship and it contain missiles towards the front. They are four long and whenever they launch as they are rising they immediately go backwards. Sometimes it goes to the point of destroying the rear of my ship. It isn't the targeting system because once they go back the one turn happens and sets it on the right course, to the enemy in front of the ship.

I think it may be that the ship is moving to fast and as they leave the silo the boat pushed the bottom forwards macking the missile face backwards, the boat can go up to 14m/s.

If the problem is what i think it is, is there any way to fix it apart from reducing the ships speed. If it is a different problem, what is it and how do I fix it.

Any help appreciated
Thank you

Also I should say that I have never had this issue before and the front facing torps are fine. I have also had vertical launch missiles on a 20m/s sub and there was no problem

That sucks.

Yep

I now have it not so bad at only 8m/s but it still happens and i shouldnt have to get rid of speed for missiles

Is there a friend foe indicator?

That might be the problem.

Do your launchers have Ejectors properly attached? (Torpedoes seem to have 'built in' ejectors)
If Ejectors are attached, and connected, have you adjusted their settings by any chance?

Is the launcher 'enclosed', with no 'space' around the launcher parts/missiles?

Are the launchpads and the rails aligned to point in the same direction? (Bad things can happen if you have the Launchpad facing a direction other than where the missiles are pointing.)
Put at least one ejector module on each launchpad. The ejectors will give the missiles enough of an initial speed boost to clear the tube. I use two on my 13m/s patrol ship and it has eliminated this problem entirely.
