Advanced cannons, on the other hand, are much more flexible both in design and ammunition type, especially with the recent update with 4-way gauge connectors. When done right, can inflict tons of damage quickly with a fast fire rate, plus they are more effective anti-missile cannons(if you build those) than CRAM cannons. You can also have two different turrets with the same design but different bullet composition. Not to mention they can be configured into rail-guns as well. However, their price is comparable with missiles, being much more expensive than the CRAM cannon. They are also more complex, it took me a while to learn how to construct a Advanced cannon properly(it was the lack of gunpowder casings).
