They need a access hole to reach different compartments

or you put a bot in each compartment, i find this to be easier.

Its common myth, but repair bots doesnt need pathway at all

I got super crammed tanks on my Custom campaign, and repair bots are hidden somewhere in the tetris of engines, ammo, detection equipment and AI

And tanks repair themselves, no matter where they are hit

I think repair bots are faster if they can path to the block, but if not, the block will still be repaired after something times out. It's just slower.

Repair bots are useless, they take too long to repair. If your vehicles want to repair themselves just use compact Tentacles as a drone with either a large or small Multi-resource container.

Its very hard to tell your vehicles to group up exactly when damaged

Do repair bots need resources to repair?

Yes, but they will use spare part crates first over the raw resources

Note that repair bots are a bit buggy, and depending on the size of the vessel sometimes they won't do anything for extensive periods of time. Bigger the craft, the slower the repair bots are to react, even to damage near their bay.

use docking beams on drones, then use ACB's to tell your docking stations to keep the drones docked at all times. Not exactly sure what you mean by group up seeing as drones can't independantly move out of combat (fleet move that is). You do know what i mean by drone right? Drone = using subvehicle spawners.....i think one of the factions actually uses this ability on a ship....can't remember which one atm.

I think it's not nessarily that they are buggy, 9 times out of 10 you're avatar is repairing the captial ships along with bots, so everytime you finish repairing a spot that a bot was going to repair it has to re-calculate what part to repair next, so if u "out repair" your bots (cuz they and you have repair speed decreasing buffs) they'll always be on the move.

Plus bots don't always use spare parts before raw resources....idk why by my bots refuse to use spares after a short time out of combat....
