AI shooting in random diections
I have a gun on my base and its hooked up to ai and everything but when theres an enemy it just looks around in random directions and shoots nowhere near the target. This happens with both types cram and advanced.

It's because you don't have any detection equipment, so the AI doesn't know where the enemy is. Place a coincidental range finder on the gun with an AI wireless receiver on it, and an AI wirelss transmitter on your AI mainframe. Also place a radar 360 on the highest point on your base with an AI Reciever connected to it. The radar will detect enemys above water, and the range finder will give the gun information on where to aim and shoot :) If you'd like a good example download my N25 Karstagg Destroyer on the Workshop and feel free to reverse engineer it, it's using a rotary dish style radar I came up as a proof of concept that turned out to work brilliantly

What kind of missles guidance are you using and is it on a turret? Also does it have a One Turn missle component?

Could be that the range is too close, not enough fins to turn towards target, or because IR only sees a certain angle in front of it it may be missing the target, I'd say keep the one turn and the IR, make the thruster a variable thruster and set the burn to 300, so it'll be a slower missle (gives you longer range too) and as for the Local Weapon controller firing the missles I'd make a minimum range of 250, and make the max whatever they can get to with their current fuel, maybe 300m less than max range to account for possible altitude
