How to thrust vector
Which commands allow me to tilt my CJEs? As far as I'm aware only breadboards can do this.

ACBs.

If command... > Propulsion - set pitch/yaw.

Just remember to include one for neutral.

Neutral actually is functionally never needed since propulsion is gonna be trying to go one way or another in practice given the overshoot involved in ACB thrust vectoring.

Breadboards can only thrust vector stuff in the alpha version of the game with the general block setter block.

And honestly, the ACB way is perfectly functional. It essentially vectors as a 40 Hz pulse-width modulation, and that is plenty smooth for smooth flight. The advantages of doing it with an AI breadboard are 1) You need only one breadboard rather than 8 ACBs for pitch, yaw and roll control and 2) Due to the average deflection angle with smooth control being much lower, it is more efficient.

I've been able to get thrust vectoring to work using spin blocks. You can map them to inputs on the keyboard, but it's a bit of a pain to get working right.

I was more asking about moving the thrust on the CJE itself rather than part of the construct, I try and making my planes look realistic so anything short of a Harrier won't have moving engines. I found thrust vectoring useful for trim on a larger plane I built but on my main fighter it looked incredibly stupid and I can't fix it due to lack of space.

Ah I see, as far as I know, there's no way currently, at least in vanilla FTD, there's no way to rotate only part of a CJE. You could put just the regular jet thruster on it's own spine block and the regular engine on the craft itself. That might be the best way to get the look you're going for.
