If that's not there, chances are something is broken on your end.
You are expected to design your craft in the designer, something you should never do in the campaign. Then, after testing and quality control, you should spawn in the finished blueprints in the campaign.
You NEVER want to waste time manually building a ship in the campaign because it takes a very long time, and the time you spend building your ship the enemies spend making themselves stronger.
Also, manually rebuilding a ship every time either takes a lot more time than designing new and exiting ships, or makes a really poor result. Not a good idea..
A 15K resource ship should be more than most DWG fleets can handle.
Remember that in the campaign that resources decides the winner. It's not enough that your ships can kill other ships without sinking themselves, they also have to do it cheaply. Rockets and torpedoes use a lot of ammo, so if they miss then those are resources you are dumping in the ocean. If you have lots of repairbots on your ships then they are hard to sink, but they will eat a lot of resources in the process and it would have been better if they sank.
Ps. the DWG (first enemy faction) are very weak to radar seeking missiles and torpedoes.
1) Build a new ship made up of 2 1x1 light alloy beams
2) Have the 1st beam 40 meters long
3) Have the 2nd beam 10 meters long going right through the middle of the first beam
4) It should look exactly like a "t"
4a) USE GRID BUILD FOR STEPS 5-9 (PRESS F3 TO TOGGLE IT AND PRESS F3 TO EXIT GRID BUILD)
4b) Grid Build is required, using it requires skill I suggest you learn to use it prior to doing this.
4c) Check the orientation of the "t" by going to the map. Zoom in until it switches from the map to the combat view.
4d) Got the orientation of the "t"? Good. Now paint the front of the "t" red and paint the back end of the "t" green. It doesn't matter the color just remember which is which.
5) Capture a prefab of your ship, don't worry about your precious spin blocks and turrets.
5a) If your ship is really big take multiple prefabs of it.
6) Line-up the first portion of your prefab or your ship prefab at the back of the "t".
7) Make sure the FRONT/BOW OF YOUR SHIP CONNECTS to the rear of the "t"
8) Place the rest of your ship
9) Place your peashooters and spin blocks, or whatever you missed. Do this using "Save Object" and "Load Object" after pressing E in build mode. It should be on the bottom left of your screen if you are working on a sub-construct such as a turret or a spin block.
10) Check orientation on map
11) Good? Have fun you idiot don't mess up like this again.
12) You messed up? Destroy the mess you just made and start from step #1.
