Explosive To Hardening Pellets ratio?
Ideally, how much of each should I have? I've made my first serious cram cannon (dual barrel) that honestly looks hideous but I'm trying to figure out what pellets to use. It's 1200mm-1500m and I might consider making it a single barrel cram to increase the effectiveness of such a small turret.

I think 1AP :7HE is a good ratio for pellets
Still, I'd suggest to let the APS do the armor breaching and internal damage and make your cram turret go full HE. Add an inertial fuse and you'll get a reasonably good gun to strip off light armour, lams and detection, should they be hit.

Ratio depends on what you want to do, and how much AP and kinetic you get. Add a pendepth or pentime fuse, and add enough hardener to pen as much metal as you want (2-3m is probably sufficient, maybe 4m). Or make it entirely HE.

And how much kinetic density would we need to pen those?

No clue. I don't use fridge launchers much, if at all.

I do have a clue about the kind of AP and kinetic you need though.
Metal health = 2100 Weigth = 160 Cost = 20 layer | AC | 2 * AC * health | Sum | Cost Sum | Weight Sum | Metal 5m: | 61.50 | 258,300 | 850,500 | 100 | 800 | Metal 4m: | 53.25 | 223,650 | 592,200 | 80 | 640 | Metal 3m: | 42.75 | 179,550 | 368,550 | 60 | 480 | Metal 2m: | 30.00 | 126,000 | 189,000 | 40 | 320 | Metal 1m: | 15.00 | 63,000 | 63,000 | 20 | 160 |
Sum is the "AP * kinetic_damage" you need to pierce.
However, that only applies at up to twice the lowest AC as AP.

If you'd have 50 AP you'd need 2100 kinetic damage for the last layer (due to dealing max damage). So you'd need 126,000 <= AP * (kinetic_damage - 2100) to pen 2m metal, if I didn't mess up the calculations.
