Did I lose my Boat?
I made a BFS. Been working on it for months. Now with my computer swap, I can't find it...

Did I have to upload it to the workshop in order for it to save? I thought it cloud-saved like other games!

I'm telling you, if I lost my boat, I'm not touching this game anymore.

Well, the game isn't listed as having the steam cloud on the storepage. I remember it did used to have it, but it took up loads of your cloud space and had a tendency to undo things you did by overwriting it.

you CAN transfer designs w/o workshop by putting it in a ZIP and emailing it to yourself

Yeah, the blueprints are stored in the From The Depths folder in Documents, so if you have access to your previous computer, everything is there.

See, I already did a factory wipe on the old one. I thought it was in the game files itself under "Player". Sadly, I was wrong. Guess that one was my fault.

Do you still have the drive? There is free to use recovery software. Just because you nuke a drive dosent mean the info is completely gone its just labeled as non read. Google free to use drive recovery tool. Youll get a dozen or so.

As a positive note, depending on how many hours you have in the game, you'll completely forget about your ship after building the next one.

RIP boat though.
