New weapon master types would be something like...
A plasma cannon
There's lots of ways you could have plasma cannons to keep the weapons all unique.
I wouldn't mind a wind-up modifier for advanced cannons to make true gatlings, but they can get stupidly fast as is.
Plasma weapons are planned
Fire (And fire as gameplay aspect are planned too)
Missile gauge is planned too, for either small or very large missiles

Its abit behind in the time reserves, but progress is made (Currently dev is working on optimization and Steam engines)

Two axis turret, missle launcher setup on it.
The missles have no sensors or fins, just a maximum power variable thruster, one fuel tank, 4 explosives (size 3 missles).
1 ejector addon per launcher (all I could fit into the 1,000 size budget for Glao), launching six of these).
Set the accuracy before firing very low, I'm currently using 2.0 degrees (a tiny bit innaccurate against smaller targets, but a good spread for larger targets).
Ok, so what this does is makes a dumbfire rocket turret.
Because you aren't using any of the rocket for homing, you can pack in more explosives/frag/etc.
These things.. they are wrecking metal (not alloy) targets almost on the level of CRAMs, but more accurate projectiles, and much faster.
My point is... Try experimenting with the tools we have right now. You can do some crazy stuff!
1. Spaceship launches alloy rods from in orbit.
2. Rods accelerate to extremely high velocity during re-entry.
3. Rods impact surface with such high energy and velocity that they cause massive damage and explosions.
I can't remember where I read about it, but It would be amazing to see in-game and the concept could apply to other weapon systems.
P.S. I think he was wanting to discuss new ideas for weapon systems, not criticism of his examples.
