All of those are already in the game.
New weapon master types would be something like...
A plasma cannon
There's lots of ways you could have plasma cannons to keep the weapons all unique.

I wouldn't mind a wind-up modifier for advanced cannons to make true gatlings, but they can get stupidly fast as is.

Use CRAM for artillery, big rockets are thin, but still may be created as long as you wish, gatling is advanced cannon with 6 barrels option and good cooldown/reload system with resonable gauge.

all good idea, but not new. Nick has been working on missile sizing for a bit. he's put up polls to get people to interact and tell him what to work on next outside of optimization.

if you have any other good ideas, I highly suggest regestering on the main forums and pitching them. Nick really listens to the players, so be assured that your idea will be given adiquate thought.

yes but i cant make itens in workchop , its is a new ideas make new weapons and new systems of damage, not a cram cannons make a mortars.
make a new system like a cram cannons to make mortars:steamhappy::steamhappy:

They are essintialy mortars, if used as them. In this game cannons are multipurpose. Advanced can become normal cannons, railguns and miniguns and CRAMs can become artilery and mortars.

While not a new weapon, I just did a thing that I haven't personally heard of anyone doing so far.
Two axis turret, missle launcher setup on it.
The missles have no sensors or fins, just a maximum power variable thruster, one fuel tank, 4 explosives (size 3 missles).
1 ejector addon per launcher (all I could fit into the 1,000 size budget for Glao), launching six of these).
Set the accuracy before firing very low, I'm currently using 2.0 degrees (a tiny bit innaccurate against smaller targets, but a good spread for larger targets).

Ok, so what this does is makes a dumbfire rocket turret.
Because you aren't using any of the rocket for homing, you can pack in more explosives/frag/etc.
These things.. they are wrecking metal (not alloy) targets almost on the level of CRAMs, but more accurate projectiles, and much faster.

My point is... Try experimenting with the tools we have right now. You can do some crazy stuff!

I want to see implementation of orbital re-entry weapons. Basically the concept is this:

1. Spaceship launches alloy rods from in orbit.
2. Rods accelerate to extremely high velocity during re-entry.
3. Rods impact surface with such high energy and velocity that they cause massive damage and explosions.

I can't remember where I read about it, but It would be amazing to see in-game and the concept could apply to other weapon systems.

P.S. I think he was wanting to discuss new ideas for weapon systems, not criticism of his examples.

Well, not that massive, but railguns with 500 gauge cannon that has gravity compensator (enables reentry acceleration of shell) has pretty big potential. Gonna try that one soon myself.
