So it has to go through the actual turret block? I tried that just now, it's still not working for me.
Tranceiver is connected to an otherwise functional laser assembly on the hull and mounted to a MPL block, same goes for the one on the turret. I tried putting it on the turret base directly with no MPL block, it still wouldn't work.
- on the bottom the laser trasceiver pointing up
- above it, a normal block or the turret block itself
- in the turret itself, another transceiver aligned with the beam from the one below the turret (the light will bend if in a 2-axis turret). Usually is just easier to place the trasnceiver as the first block of the turret (on top, not on the sides).
So it would look like this:
.C. =====
.A.
.Ö.
|||||
.A.
Where A is the transceiver, |||| is just an armor block, Ö is the turret, C is a laser connector and ==== is just the firing piece + lens.
The laser trasceiver should always point up towards the turret base. You can see it better in the glowing button of "Laser guide" in the Build menu of the laser parts.
