Plane keeps diving
Trying to make a plane but I think the AI keeps telling it to dive into the water. When I view the control(pink) along with the drag lines etc. The pink lines show pulling up then reverse down and the plane dives and it never corrects and goes straight into the water. I lowered the Pitch PID Gain to .001 which confirmed that the pink lines were control as the lines where much smaller. Why is the plane doing this?

sounds like not enough lift in the front

Ok this did help but I think the biggest factor was shifting the Front wings up one block and this put the dediblades in line with the mass as they were underslung, but I also increase the wing span and width too. Thanks for your help.

Ok Im back with some more tips that I learned that hopefully can help somebody if they decide on a plane and it does stuff like this. I learned a LOT by looking at the Felix Fleiger bomber's control surfaces, thrust to mass center, PID control settings etc.. I recommend if you have something in mind to look at the closest proxy to what you are aiming for and this can help. Things I learned:

PITCH ONLY CONTROL SURFACES Only go on the rear wings for this plane. I had them on the main wing and once I removed them and only had them on the Tail wings my plane stopped diving totally. AILERONS go on the wing tips ie. about the last 25%. Face towards the front and press G to align them correctly. ALIGN your mass and thrust or get it close.

Another thing; whenever I finally got the bastard to fly it would never go straight to my waypoints when I gave it commands. It would pitch toward the direction but would give up when it was 10-20 degrees from pointing directly at the line of travel. This made it take a meandering circle transit to the waypoint and was frustrating me to no end. I thought my PITCH PID was to blame and messed with it endlessly only to find that the real culprit is an option in the AIRPLANE 1.0 MANOEUVRE routine under turning settings. Make sure that YAWING turn above "X" Degrees is turned to 0 or close to it. This was at 10 Degrees by default and I'm guessing its to make it so that the approach is not dead on to make them harder to hit?

Hope this helps.

Just another thing that, at least in the 3.2.9, multiple planes can glitch out their AI if using ailerons. A small fix is using elevators as ailerons.

Did not know about this but I'm going to make more so I'll look out for it. Another note. While I did get my bomber to fly much better than when I started out it still left much to be desired when it came actually flying close to 100% smoothly. I watched a video by one of the DEVs where they adjusted their PIDs and this helped me get to pretty close to perfect flying. I advise watching it for anybody new to making planes.
