LAMS if you got enough room for a decent laser setup,
APS if you're trying to save space,
Interceptors if you want to be even more space efficient and like missiles.
Simple weapons for anti missile defense is rather bad. I mean, it can work, but since simple lasers are limited to 500 meters, while LAMS can go up to 1000, they don't have enough room to deal enough damage.
I uploaded a ship ealier today that has a decent LAMS. Not perfect, but it can deal with the CRAMS of a Crossbones, so missiles shouldn't be a problem either.
I suggest you take a look at it, spawn in some enemies that have missiles, and decide for yourself if it's worth it.

you'll want a decoy 10x stronger than your signature for enemies with signal processor missiles, just 1.5x for those without
medium missiles tend to be long for their decoy strength.
you can also add a remote guidance to the decoy to lead the enemy missiles to their own ship. it's tricky though
