Submarine detection
Just wondering how the detection against a submarine (AI detecting player submarine) works.

Edit:
After playing around you're not autmoaticlly detected but the detection ranges seem a bit strange, my active sonar wont pick up their ship but their cameras will pick me up, even though i'm 150m meters under water, at around half a map square away.

your sub is detected by Sonar / Passive Sonar / or Sonar Buoys

it has nothing to do with the actual player

They can detect your ship with vision, which is rough but wide. They can see even if you're deep or high above.
Because of it, it's almost impossible to hide from detection.

From examining enemy ships, some also use wireless snoopers. There's a button that'll turn on a detection range overlay though.

Main advantage of subs isn't stealth, but having 150m of deuterium oxide armour, making it harder for enemies to hit you. I also boost my subs detection ranges by having sonar & radar bouys mounted on short missiles so they head for enemies and boost detection range.
