How to make a simple Paddleboat...?

I couldn't find any paddleboat tutorials done in this latter half of the decade :P

I want to make it so that the paddle or paddles are set up to boat thrust controls... so I can manually adjust speed or put them in reverse using control wheel <3

If you can help or point me in direction of paddleboat guru to teach me de wai... plz halp.

Assign the spinner's rotation speed to an axis, and it'll work pretty much like a propeller would.
