Submarine Construction help.
Trying to create a submarine, I'm quite new to the game however I would like to get a start learning how to create sub surface craft, Is there any up to date guide or video around that would help me out here? In most of my research it's all quite old and probably outdated.

You can make an actively stabilized sub using general purpose PIDs of Pitch, Altitude, and Roll. Use those with propellers to keep your sub underwater. I won't bother explaining every last detail of it right now, but I'm open to questions.

So the GP PID looks pretty complex, And I have no idea how to tell it to "Make ship go down", I assume I need to use an Automated Control block with the GP PID, However I can't seem to get my sub to stay level or sink below the waterline.

Easy sub system here.... Two ACB First set air pumps to 100% if no enemy. Next When enemy present turn off air pumps.

Two more ACB When at -40 to whatever height set hydrofoils to dive. Next ACB when at -41 to whatever depth set hydrofoils to lift.

x 4 total ACB and your set. On nose build a hydrofoil wing and in middle of vessel build one. This will keep sub balanced when diving and rising. No battle she floats in battle she dives.

Bonus idea. Place two pistons on top of each other with wireless camera on top.
Two more ACB When no enemy present set piston extenshion to 0 . On next ACB when enemy present set extenshion to 100%. You have a functioning periscope now.

The depth ACB can be raised or lowered from the 40/41 to whatever depth you desire. Just be sure to set the Navel A.I. to stay at +10 depth of your setting to avoid hitting ground while at bottom.
More ACB can be used to adjust depth based on current distances from the ocean floor.

Set them in groups of three. First one look for a certain depth. Lets say -50 meters from bottom. This one will activate The next ACB Next acb Dive command. Third ACB when depth is at -60 Rise. Now have another set for -40 -60 -30 -70 ect ect. In very back have an ACB set to all the ranges in your ACB block (-30 to -70 example) If there is no land in this range shut off the block. This set up will have your sub hug the bottom. Or stay at lowest depth of your ACB block.

Thank you both for your help! I've finally got a working submarine, Took me a long long while and it costs over 200k Materials.. But it's worth all the trouble!
