hop into the vehicle designer and just try some of the built-in campaign vehicles
a lot of them dont work correctly, seems pretty major *and* game-breaking
When we get our heads wrapped around it it will greatly increase the standard options I'd estimate. And if this is a neccesary framework for upping the tactical AI, then I'm willing to see this through.
>removes resources because devs say they are too complicated for players
>makes ai 100x more complicated then the resources where
Do explain to me how this makes any sense^
don't tell me I am too stupid to manage 3 or 4 resources then give me an ai I am literally too stupid to configure......
There needs to be basic Ai added into the game now, because if this is going to be the norm then the game is officially pointless.... No one will buy because the learning curve to automate vehicles will be too high.
The FtD dev team have horrible public relations. They are on discord ONLY, left the forums dead and was never active on steam.
No documentation or tutorials. Heck the tutorials date back when the game first came out. So I do feel like the player base have the right to hate how the direction FtD is going.
Regardless, after exploring the AI system, the AI is largely the same. But the UI is so darn ugly, cluttered and filled with abstract symbols, it is a complete downgrade.
The options within options within tabs makes it hard to find anything.
The settings are largely the same. I have only found 2 new routines that is actually useful. Considering the rest of the settings have basically stayed the same, how does it manage to break EVERYTHING in the game. That is one heck of an achievement. Some ACBs also no longer work, namely propulsion complex controls.
All the built-in vehicles have not been updated either. This should still be in devtest and is in no way ready to be released.
It's not exactly great, yea, but not quite that bad.
Well, at least patchnotes still seem to happen on the forum, but yea.
On the bright side, it's one of the few devs that actually seem to respond to bug-reports. At this point I'm kinda used to bug-reports being ignored entirely.
