"Wobbly" ships
So far, in general, I'm loving patch 2.2.4. However I have experienced that my ship is now "wobbling" rapidly. I'm kind of lame and tend to buidl large, heavy ships and then try to scale them down in terms of size and cost. In doing so, I often have heavy external hull walls, but for the bottom of my hull I often use alloy (rather than metal) for increased buoyancy. It always worked fine before. Now (since the patch) my ship rapidly wobbles back and forth on its center of balance. I'm still in an early buid phase, and this will probably be corrected once I've got propulsion and PID implemented, but should this be happening? Does this happen to anyone else now?

where is your center of mass exactly? it can help a lot to try and keep it below the water line

It may have been above the waterline during the initial test. I'll get back to you on how it impacts once the mass is closer to finished build.

The standard in the real world is to keep the dimensions 1x2x10 HWL. In game I have found that this makes the ship very stable.

width, height, length?

I have mentitoned this wobbling issue since the updated to version 2.24 with my ships too. Because of that I have tested this issue by building a in all directions symetric wooden raft, build with only 4 meter wooden beams, the raft is sized 16x16 meters with its center of mass exact in the center of the raft. In the options menu I have set the wave factor to 0.1 being the lowest level possible to create a sea state with (almost) no waves. After pressing the Caps Lock key to put the raft in the water the raft slowly starts to wobble. Both axes P and R are wobbling continous from -2 to 2 and the red en green drag and bouy indicators are moving continous too. Again, the raft is compleet symetric in all directions and the sea state with the wave factor set on 0.1 is flat. I have never mods installed, I am always playing with the vanllia version of the game. So the wobbling issue is for me clearly a game breaking bug.

You can post your blueprint with a bug report here please

Note that we've fixed a lot of buoyancy problems in 2.2.5 / 2.2.6 / 2.2.7 / 2.2.8 but if some still remain I'd be happy to look at them.

I jumped the gun with the original post. The problem seemed to be a large amount of mass above the water line. After some rebalancing and further testing it worked out. Thank you for the suggestions and for looking into everything.
