Not DRM free anymore?
I used to play FtD outside of steam. I usually dont like having unnecessary programs running in the background. It was nice that FtD was one of those games, that didnt need steam to run, only for updates and the workshop.

But now, it wants to start steam every time I run the executable. I play on linux, so I dont know how it is/was for windows users, but PLEASE make it free again. I dont see the point forcing to use a launcher to run.

performance reasons, i'd guess.

i can't give you an answer, but i guess you could always stop the Steam.DREXE while the game runs?

Um I run the game straight from the launcher fine, idk how to answer this.

Might be a linux only problem then. Because if I run the executable (while steam is not running) I will get the configuration menu, and once I click on OK, it will start steam. Which was not the case before.

since the last big update , it need steam to launch . (and I'm on window)
like Sandor said , the launcher work fine , then when you clic play , it will try to open steam
