Greyed out Options in Vehicle Designer

First time playing in a long time. When I try to build something in the vehicle designer, a lot of my options are greyed out, especially the engine stuff. I don't want to use sails, or steam, dang it! I want electricity! Anyway, I'm sure this has a simple explanation, but I've forgotten what it is. Again, this is in vehicle designer, not while playing.

Try lowering the block settings in the build menu to starter, then back to the highest level.

That should allow you to use them again.
Though depending on what you are building with/on, they may be that way for good reason.

Figured it out (and it was the stupidest reason ever - I was still trying to edit a spin block).
