Depends on the size of the ship and its purpose, space effient you want batteries and rtg, cost efficient you want fuel engine.

If you are going for anything over 1000 power/sec, RTGs are not the more space or cost-to-build efficient.

Electrics are good for very low power engines, or very large builds with plenty of space to spare -where their benefit becomes not requiring fuel to be used, enabling a laser build to fire and fight indefinitely.
