you could also mess with the detection settings for the mainframe (but idk how to help with that since i don't quite get how it works)
also best to have a extra set of detection for redundancy incase the primary and first detection system is damaged/destroyed. also keep note nothing is perfectly accurate (mroe so when you add in weapon inaccuracy) even if you change the world setting to enable automatic detection
As far as only targeting the AI mainframe, put a target prioritization card on your mainframe (you can add a separate mainframe for your particel cannon if you want, then use wireless channel 2). On the target prioritization card, click the "set all to zero" button, then put the "value per crew/player" slider to maximum (includes AI).
