What are the best shell types for a 60mm advanced cannon, with input feeders connected to firing piece?

To be honest, I don't think it is possible to build a low caliber aa gun that is any good.
I had the best success with either solid shot or frag at 60mm but you can expect the great majority of shots to miss any kind of fast flying aircraft. The best aa guns I have come up with were around 300-400mm firing timed fuse flak or frag rounds. That makes it big enough so that even if you miss you can still damage the target.

According to Awellner on the Discord, hollow point beats AP below about 8cm calibre.

Sabot = AP. So see above.

Flak sucks vs vehicles. Reasonably sure HE would've been better overall.
Allthough there were some tests against swarms of entirely unarmoured targets (i.e. DWG easy) where flak could take out dozens of them, but I heard flak damage drop-off got increased since.

As for OP, frag if you want airburst. Hollow point should work too. HP-F to make better use of the kinetic damage of the frag warheads.
HESH also works at low calibres, though possibly due to unintended behaviour. Can spawn hundreds of fragments if hitting the edge of a block (less than 1m material before generating spalls). Though I'm not sure if it's good for light AA.

Huh, didn't know that.

I was using it as a dual purpose gun that could take out missiles too. It worked well enough at damaging fast flyers enough to slow them down or knock them out of the sky.

According to research, if your AA Gun has a fast fire rate, I would suggest AP Shells.
My favourite AA cannon that I always spam on my ships is a 54mm gatling cannon.
It's has an AP cap followed by a single sabot body. I forgot how much powder I used, I'm not on my laptop rn but you can download one of my crafts to see, it's not hard to miss the AA guns
The shell designer is also on the turret itself so there's no need to dig around my lewd shippies

Using less than 3 non-casing modules is a bad idea for AP. Game assumes the missing modules (1 in your case) to have bad modifiers (if that part of the Wiki is up to date, 0.5 AP and kinetic).

I think I was trying to max out impact dmg instead of AP since sabots gives a speed boost

Impact damage is either thump or kinetic. In your case kinetic, because you didn't use an HP head.
And the simplest measure of kinetic performance is to use AP * kinetic damage. Chances are you reduced both.

OK I'll try that when I get back. Speed is also reduced by 100m/s or so when I switched to HP or any other warhead which drastically reduces range and hit rate.
