Spin block stacking

I've heard this is a trick you can do to have multiple blocks occupy the same space at the same time. What does it involve?

when you have subobjects like turrets and spinblocks, they dont collide with eachother so if you have 2 turrets close together there blocks can occupy the same space.

Just place a spinblock inside your ship and build from that spinblock into the already existing ones.
