Fleet ships crashes into each other
I have to ships that i send ahead to start the attack. They circle the target while attacking. When one circles clockwise and the other anti-clockwise they crash into each other.

Is there something i can do about this?

one possibility is to build a set of sideways-facing props/heliblades on the bow of your ships controlled by ACBs with the following settings:

1: Every 0.5 seconds, turn off
2: Object within 100m, set to 30 (or -30 depending on direction) -catch is the ACB will need to be fairly exposed, as it will detect the ship as being an object.

This should force a slow turn when they are approachign each other.


....nothign you can do to stop them from trying to shoot through each other, though.

Change one of the Broadside Distances in the AI. Make one ship have a wider circle than the other. They won't crash, but the farther one will probably shoot the other. Nothing you can do about that.

Is the fail-safe not suppose to stop turrets from shooting friendly ships?

Only parts of the same ship, not other ships.

just go into map and controll them yourself via Patrol Mode, if they are past eachother go put them back to Combat

the funny thing is i put my planes and airships within 50ft or 18m of eachother and they get within 2 meters of hitting but 90% of the time never do collide

My fighters collide all the time.
Bombers not so much... but that's because they are after big slow ships

I built this amazing, complex, super fast cruiser. It cost me so much resources, then i finally built it. The AI drove it full speed into a mountain instantly killing it. Thanks psychotic AI :D

I found that the easiest way to prevent this is alter their altitude settings. If you have lots of planes, this won't work, but for five and under, just set altitudes 25m above or below another, making sure each plane has its own altitude.

heh i have over 5 zeppelin bombers at a time but sadly they do crash into eachother and sometimes the bomber gets involved smashing a giant hole in the one it hits while also blowing up its wing crashing to the ground in nuclear powered fire

Using fleet move would be the best solution, since AI captains are only good for firing weapons.
