if you want forward AND reverse, then you will liekly need a complex controller with forward-facing ions (not sure if there is an ACB activation for "control input recieved to speed up/down", which is what you'd need for heliblades.)
got it solved and added some YAW thrusters for why now...
thanks
My shuttle build uses tertiary ion drives for spaceflight (up/down arrow keys, I believe), which can, when set "low" enough, switch to activate forward-facing retro-rockets (I'll post it here if you want to check out how it works).
The multiple drives (lift drives, atmospheric flight drives, orbital drives) confuses the heck out of the AI, though

my goal is to get something that attempts to dodge incoming shots.
im guessing im gonna go explode my mind with more PIDs ACBs and the occasional LUA but eh...
how do you get it to circle?
To make a craft circle, the best way I know of is to use a naval AI with a long broadside range and an angle of around 45 degrees (with reverse disabled).
