Ship not being repaired by avatar or repair tentacles

So I've trecked all over the interent trying to find out what is wrong with my ship, whenever I spawn it in nothing tries to assemble it. When it gets damaged (from me not combat) my fortress's repair tentacles do nothing same as my avatar. the only thing that does repair my ship is the repair bots on it (which are slow as balls). I've spawned in other ships and hell even land objects in the sea and as soon as they spawn in, the fortress's tentacles immeditly assemble/ fix it. I'm out of idea and need some help.

Update: I found a way around it, I just created a new object and then sectioned out prefabs from my original ship (it is fairly large) and then assenbled them on the new object block which seems to have solved all my problems so far. Maybe my ship was just bugged, but anyhowI found a way around it (as tedious as it is). Hope this helps someone.

press V, make sure the allow repairs bubbles were not accidentally off clicked. otherwise f7 i think toggles your tentacles.

I know my Repair tentacles were on but i'll have to check out what "V" does

This... this solved my problem that has been plaguing me with self repair since I first got the game. Thank you sir. Somehow some of my ships had that bubble turned off without my knowing.
