Also, I think it might have been that my system was getting overloaded and needed a refresh. I have a newer system with a high-end graphics card for gaming and lots of RAM and haven't had problems with any games so far, however, I hadn't restarted my computer in days (maybe weeks) and probably had been playing for over 70 hours since a restart. I also had tons of other apps and web pages open in the background and I have all my video settings set to "Epic" in the game which probably really puts a strain on the system. After leaving Ocean Islands, I went straight to Mountain Forest without shutting down the game (I often just pause the game instead of quitting to desktop when I go off and do other things, and even when I go to sleep), Anyway, the performance was terrible, the movement was jerky and the graphics looked a little jaggy, just like the graphics were on Ocean Island. After I quit and shut down the game I noticed Windows was waiting to do an update, so I had to restart. After restarting and going back to the game, this time to Tropical Jungle, everything was fine, looking good and running smoothly. I did The Caves after that and no problems. So, I'm hoping that it was just my system temporarily acting up because of all the crap I had open and not doing a restart for a long time. Next time I go back to Ocean Islands (it will only be my second time there), I'll make sure to restart my computer and refresh everything. Hopefully, performance underwater will be better next time. It's probably a good idea to do a restart once in a while anyway.
I tried ABZU before, but found it a bit boring. That was just my personal experience. I ended up getting a refund. Please let me know if you end up enjoying it.
I'm intrigued about 'Treasures of the Sunken Ship'. I'll have to take a look.
As for the Birch Forest - I love that map but also ran into annoyances with the dense trees. talked at one point about them perhaps being made phantom as an option but I kinda got over it LOL. Mushrooms like whoa there - especially as the season progresses.
as for Subnautica - I haven't played in a while but I also used WeMod cheats so a lot of things were easier for me than most. No issues swimming there.
My right shift is rebound to my sprint, Mushi. I think my page down might be what I use to dive. I'll let you know next time I go to that map.
Now, I only need to complete the final two weekly tasks, which should be easy-peasy, and the ONE thing I have left to photograph: the Eagle. I was on the Meadows map today (Days 81 and 82) and I have yet to see an Eagle there or anywhere else. Any suggestions?
Mountain Forest is my "go-to" for the Morels. I average 330 Morels per visit and got up to 365 on a good day, so the weekly tasks that ask for 200 or 300 Morels are a breeze in Mountain Forest, I can do that in one day. I have over 5 dozen bright pink flags on the MF map (my color for Morels since the "hot pink" is by far the easiest color to see on the maps and while on the ground).
