My game designer feedback for Mark
Let me start by saying: Congratulations, Mark!

This is a great, well made, polished little title. I'm so glad you went on this journey to create it and share it with everyone.

Here is some minor feedback I have after completing and enjoying the game. They mostly relate to improving the developer commentary experience:

1. In addition to the chapter select, please include a level select (something simple, like the game INSIDE).
2. Please allow developer commentary from the get-go. I say this because I imagine many players are playing this as an audience of GMTK. The main appeal of this game to this particular audience is as a game design experiment, rather than magnet puzzles (though they were certainly fun!)
I happily played through the game once, but don't wish to play through a second time just to hear the commentary. You can have a prompt with the whole "it is recommended to finish the game before activating commentary" thing.
3. Allow level skipping without a timer if a player has already completed a level.

I'm a pro-dev-turned-indie and longtime viewer of the channel. Love the channel, love the game, love ya Mark.

Thanks for reading~

On a tangential note, I'd also like to suggest releasing on Steam that little platformer game tool thing you made - the one that lets you adjust all the parameters and stuff like jump height and so on.

The way I see it, games published under "Game Maker's Toolkit" are like this wonderful treasure trove of games that relate to game design, and so that would make a wonderful addition to the library.

It also means I imagine this won't be your last game, and I'm totally looking forward to the next one :D perhaps a 3D game, hm?

Cheers~

Thanks Dec! I'll consider your feedback, and also look into releasing Platformer Toolkit on Steam!
