How many Utsu-Cans are there?

There are 95 cans according to the world map but I have ended up with 97 on my first save and 99 on my second. Are there post game secrets I am just unaware of?

I'm going to guess anything above 95 is a bug that involves the late game hard challenge areas, since cans aren't tracked there.

There are cans in the stages where you find rocket parts but they are not listed on the map. A bit of a pain in the arse that.

I know that one of the extra cans is in the Sky Road when taking the rocket and you seemingly get one extra when you beat the final boss. Other than that I think you're right.

I thought this too but actually they correspond with the larger levels they are based on i.e. cans collected in Untamed Volcano go toward the total collected cans in Scalding Peaks
