Hard Mode?

Bought and activated the CRT TV item that is supposed to make the game harder. But I haven't noticed any differences so far, maybe some enemies are slightly faster but that's it. Am I missing something?

I didn't notice any differences myself, other than how enemies drop more coins on average (and the bonus chests on return trips home giving you more).

In hard mode, enemies are way faster and make attacks more faster (bird pooping spam is something hylarius) but also give a silver coin even without the perfect hit power up and more coins after complete a stage. Boss fight, bonus stage give same ammount of coins, so dont waste time on it.
