I'm not sure how to do this with a custom skeleton though but hopefully this is a good first step.
Since you are going to use Geralt's animations, another method would be to extract Geralt's skeleton and attach it to the custom mesh of similar proportions instead.
I only have clue.
How can we play a scene but use Ciri as the starting character instead?
Bluebeak's link points toward how to swap the player character with the REDkit, but with some problems in the process.
Playing a scene via the REDkit is still a mystery to me, hopefully someone will do a tutorial. Maybe it is as simple as swapping characters involved for those. But of course, if there is voice acting, it will be odd with alternate characters.
Thanks. It's my first time wanting to mess with Witcher modding but I think it's better to wait a bit for more tutorials and more Qol hopefully? (like press F to focus on the object you selected or to be able to organize the scene hierarchy)
