Couldn't agree more. Tried today after re-release and very disappointed. I will maybe spend time in there, while having nothing better to do, but definitely will not spend any money on that. Anyone, who has even a little respect for their money, shouldn't pay for anything in this "new" version game...

Really? I havent played for like 2 or 3 months cause of the lack of players and bot flood... can you explain what they changed that is like a gacha now?

Presumably the need to pull to unlock some characters. You'll never get enough currency for direct unlocks without buying it.
That said, it currently dodges being particularly P2W since I've never seen the 3 unlocked characters win and rarely even place high. But if there's enough players, it'll become a big point of contention if a new unlock-needed character is very strong.

I'm not going to respectfully contend with arguments made in bad faith, that have made zero attempt to see if their position is factual.

Oh no, the entirely cosmetic couriers and skins are in a gacha that you don't need to interact with to get heroes? The sheer, abject horror - it's the end of the world.
Brynhild? 75% in gacha per 800 coins spent or straight up 990 coins in store.
Malachite? same as Brynhild.
Hellsing? same as Brynhild.
The two heroes coming in next week's patch? the same as Brynhild.
Want to know how many players have complained about the gacha outside of steam discussions (which tend to be toxic cesspits)? none, even though Brynhild and Hellsing are strong picks.

free track of pass total: 220 coins
paid track of pass total: 440 coins
free track of battle pass: +4 coins every level after 30.
paid track of battlepass: +8 coins every level after 30.

2 coins for a win.
1 for top 4.
2 for queueing as a team.

assuming you play three games a day for the battlepass level that's 9 coins from the games and 4 from the pass. +20 per week from the weekly giving 5 levels, that's ~16 coins a day or a hero every 2 months.
4 games a day instead? 34 days, from completion of pass.
5 games? 30 days
10? 18 days
absolutely no lifing at 20 games a day? 10 days
want a hero faster? play more.

or, throw $3 at for the normal supply voucher and get 2 heroes with the coins.
or $15 for 9900 coins from the luxury voucher and never have to worry about more heroes until you buy the next 5 to release after the next 2.

I hate scummy predatory gacha games. The alternative of course is they would have to charge you something to play the game, because you can't possibly expect someone to work for absolutely nothing. If you have a job, I'm assuming you would be really pissed if you didn't get paid for the work you've done. That being said, I would rather just be able to buy access to all current and future heroes, rather than crappy gacha gambling nonsense. Like how Smite does it for example. The dev could set a price they think would be fair, and I would happily pay it.

I dont think the game has issues with grinding heroes. Its totally doable for free within reasonable time. I even got one from 10th pull from the free tickets.
Skins are where devs make money, so I think what they do here is pretty fair. They went with the gatcha instead of fixed price, its their call. Personally I think fixed cost would have been more successful for this game, but whatever.
The pay to win re-roll stuff and the blatant stuffing of bots in ranked lobbies, instead of just increasing wait time and indication how full the lobby is, is what breaks the fun for me, I guess I will join the RIP team at some point if this keeps up.

In the last week I'm starting to think there may also be some vulnerability loopholes being exploited as well as I'm noticing a significant spike in the number of opponents suddenly rolling legendary rolls every single round once it gets to the final 4 or 5 players.

Like it's happening almost every match at this point where someone will be dropping behind early game, then suddenly every round they're picking up legendary skills every round and also go from hero level 20 to hero level 26-30+ in the span of 3 or 4 rounds and each round I'm matched against them in the final 2 player phase they're gaining 3-4 ranks between each fight.

Given the low playerbase numbers though I'm kind of surprised if this is what's going on though, but as something is clearly up perhaps there's just some really messed up stuff going on with their bot behaviour that crept into the last update that's causing bots to basically play by different probability rules in order to create a false sense of challenge.

Honestly this game is far from Gatcha. It has mild paying to unlock heroes and some skins. You still can play as the heroes often enough as they show up in a trial basis. Honestly they probably needed to monetize it more than they did. The game suffers from various things but gatcha isn’t one of them. It’s well worth the money. I find myself playing it a lot when I get bored with other games. For a super tiny dev I think it’s amazing.
