Hey what anti-cheat does this game use?
I wanna know because most of these types of games come with an anti-cheat that rootkits your computa machine and takes advertising information via programs you use on your computer. Also most of them like hackshield intercept.

Thinking of cheating? If so, then think again.

I don't remember anyone blatantly cheating in game (at least that I know of), but I did see a weird thing where like 40 people all using the same Titles, weapons, armor, skills, etc were botting in a noob area. It was entertaining to see, but clearly bots.

Quit goofing around kid, I don't care about cheating. I care about Korean mmos griefing my computer with intrusive anti-cheats that don't work for their intended purpose.

I don't care about cheaters, I want to know what anti-cheat it uses because some of them (who am I kidding all of them) are extremely toxic programs.

From a quick Google search, I could only find that it has a built in anti-cheat to scan your RAM/current running software. It doesn't use something like GameGuard as far as I can tell.

This is decent, a lot better than most of these MMOs.

You mean like how punkbuster installs as a service without your permission that keeps running in the backround even if you aren't playing (or even uninstall) the game it came with. Yeah I hate that.

No anti-cheat should require a system level service.

I hope you are truly not asking this question for real.

It doesn't use anti-cheat software but it does require you to install and run Aeria Ignite. This may be subject to change on Steam though.

I believe I remember hearing bad things about Aeria's client.

I hate programs like this. I have a few games in my inventory that I feel like a jerk for not installing (because they were gifts), due to them using Punkbuster.

I wish it, and programs like it, were an optional install. :sr4paul:
