After all, we're talking about an established company here.
Not a bunch of blackmailing loan sharks.
I tried resetting my password because it wouldn't log in and saw this: http://i.imgur.com/rytrYQk.png
To avoid this kind of situations, just log in once a month. Saves also a lot of grievement if Aeria cleans out chars like the last time.
And yes. Buying illegal gold... You were warned by many means, so if you do, it's the same as tax avoidance. You won;t be happy too if a third party steals yer goods and therefore incomes, aight?
Bullshite.
I had my account banned for not playing for 6 months.
I have put at least $2000 into Aeria Games titles, and this is how they paid me back.
No email detailing why i was banned, just that i had "violated the terms of service".
I've never bought 3rd party gold (Why would i have to when i earn enough gold ingame in all the titles i've played?).
I've never cheated or abused glitches in any of the titles i've played.
I've never been rude to anyone, and i've never harrassed anyone.
I was however offline for 6+ months due to real life obligations and other various reasons.
I had to send a support ticket to get them to unban me.
Then a few months later, I decide to buy like $10 worth of AP... and guess what? It somehow banned me(All I am doing is sitting in-game doing NOTHING waiting for the AP to arrive). So I have to wait on another ticket.
BTW, you will never suffer from these problems if you simply do not ever buy anything from them.
Yes: no problems, no bans
No: you'll get banned.
Did you wait 5-10 minutes before trying to reset password after 2 failed attempts?
Yes: no problems, but be careful and patient.
No: Accoutn blocked, undetermined time.
Are you trading with other players?
Yes: high chance of either getting scammed, or banned for trading suspicious items with players. no questions asked.
No: No problems.
this is as simple as it gets. these are the three golden rules of any MMORPG. the unwritten golden rules :
1: Dont buy from anywhere except the official main website.
2: Don't try more than 2 times to connect or reset password or change account informations within 10 minutes (some website needs 30 minutes instead...)
3: Don't trade with anyone for ANYTHING. it's the safest. Auction house is often safe, worst case scenario with auction house is you'll lose the bought item, no refunds. (But no ban for illegal trade)
For a little over 15 years I have followed these three rules. and the only time I got a ban, was a temporary ban because I was in the same room as a hacker in maplestory once, and I couldn't report him (back then, you had to wait 12 hours between reports, and hacker were almost everywhere)
I never got so much as a warning other than that maplestory incident. I lost a few items bought from auction/marketplace but nothing else.
To be perfectly clear : act like a paranoid would and you'll be fine.
There has never been an incident that I have seen where another player was wrongfully banned, because they didn't use common sense, attempted to buy gold from a gold seller (I hear a lot of these kids try and claim they were only trying to trade gold with a "friend" lmao).
No company has ever banned an account for not buying their products or currency if they sell it in game, so all of these posters here who claim they have been wronged I do not believe, as they have 100% screwed up their own account by doing something stupid.
Yes, even if you let a family / friend, dog, borrow your account, you are responsible for their actions. If you feel you were wronged then contact the game support, don't post here as no one can help you and you only give the community a spectacle to laugh at because you screwed up.
