"Steam is not running"

When I try and start the game, a small window opens up saying simply "Steam is not running". I've tried relaunching the game, and also starting it through steam but it still shows the same message. What can I do ?

Same issue: _Launcher pop-up appears and says Steam is not running. Tried verifying the cache, it fixed six files, then verified it again and it fixed 2. Seems after initiating the launcher, there's a few files that get overwritten. My friends have noted that the status pop up does appear for them that I am in Aura Kingdom after hitting Play, but that switches back to neutral when the launcher starts.

Just run as administrator.

Me as well, I can't figure out how to solve this situation. I'm not that good at figuing stuff out on the computer. Maybe it will be solved sooner or later. :(

same here man ive been sitting here for a couple of minutes trying to fix it :( but no luck

It automaticly runs as administrator. I fixed those files, it fixed 2 files. Then I did a full scan on the launcher. Said that everything was fine. Clicked on the Start button then sometimes it says that the server is offline and regulary/Almost always says that "Steam is not running!!".

I think we fixed it!

I downloaded the game a couple of days ago and everything worked fine. Then a friend of mine wanted to play the game too and got this "Steam is not Running"-Error. So we looked at the files in his "Aura Kingdom"-Folder and the ones in mine. We found out that he missed a folder called "Emblems" and a file called "LoadFail. So I gave him mine.
But he stilled got the errormessage.
Then we tried to launch the "_Launcher.exe" manually from the "Aura Kingdom"-Folder.
And it worked!!
His problem was basically that Steam started "Launcher.exe" and not "_Launcher.exe"

You can go to your steam folder, the quick way, by pressing your Windows+E keys at the same time and then copying either of these into the address bar of windows explorer:
For 64 bit windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Aura Kingdom
or for 32 bit windows
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Aura Kingdom)

Or if you installed your steam library on another drive:
You can open steam>Click on Libraries(all games)>right click on Aura Kingdom in the list>click properties>click [Local Files]>click [Browse Local Files...] and then right-click _launcher.exe>send to>Desktop (Create Shortcut)

You cannot. Please follow my previous post for creating a shortcut on the desktop.

Run Steam has Administrator. It's knowned to fix that issue.

Go to Compatibility Proprieties and turn on " Run has administtrator".

The 2 best ways i can think of to fix this is.
1. Go into you Aura Kingdom Folder and open the Launcher.
2. Run As Administrator.
