When i played the game in open beta via Aeria Games (way before it was launched in Steam) I registered an account in Aeria Games website with the same email that i use in Steam.
When i installed the game in Steam it automatically synced with Aeria Server and I recovered everything i played originally in the Open Beta. I suppose since both servers "Steam and Aeria" are registered with same email it all went smothly.
I'm not sure but it might do the same if you register an account directly in Steam.
If it doesn't send you an e-mail with the password for you to access the Aeria Games website, go to the website and try the "Recover password" in the Login. It will ask you for your email and will send you the account password.
Hope it works :D
I not enjoyed the game, and I fear to being hacked or something like that.
You may contact Steam and Aeria Games support and ask them. I know for sure thats there is no DIY way to delete/close Aeria Games accounts.
Aeria can lock your account for you so no one, including you, can access it untill you verify all your info with them(takes about 2-3 days to be able to get back into your Aeria account after). Contact their support and tell them you would like to lock your account so no one can hack it or get ahold of your info, I'm sure they will make you verify your account before locking it too.
