Screen freezing

This is a great game, but recently I have been encountering the screen freezing problem.
The game continues to process what's happening, but my screen is permanently frozen.

A short transcript of a funny dungeon run gone wrong.

"Oh no it froze again."
...
"I think the game still responds to keyboard, tell me where to go."
"Haha, turn right 90 degrees."
...
...
much conversationing.....

....


"Ok hit the boss now. I'll keep you alive."
*spams alt12345678 furiously*
"Nice. I killed it."
"Where's the portal?"
"Just hold W and D."
Screen starts responding again and loading screen appears.
"OH! I think the new loading fixes the problem."
...
"Nevermind, I'll just restart my game now."

yea have that too sometimes... but only when there are just TOO many players around... like, really alot...and effects and everything... i guess it´s related to the grafics memory/ gpu/ ram or something like that

I'm having the same problem, it freezes often at Navea and sometimes even when I'm starting the game, maybe it's a memory usage issue, if someone comes up with a tweak, let me know please

Sorry to necropost, but I have the same issue, do you guys have Radeon RX GPUs? Issue happens cause of drivers. Did any of you fix it?

My friend's EVGA GTX 1060, i5-6600K, Liquid cooling doesn't seem to fail him though...

Has anyone found a solution to this yet? I have an old laptop that has a hard time running most games past 5 fps and it seems to run this game no problem. Yet on my gaming computer that can play WoW, FFXIV, LoL, GTA5, & CoD on the highest settings, Keeps on encountering the screen freezing problem, and lag spikes when loading in other players. It even froze when I entered my Estate, and nobody else was there! I really am enjoying my time playing this game, but I just want this freezing thing to stop, if anyone has a solution, please don't be afraid to reply, It feels as if I've already scoured the whole internet for a solution with no luck.

People who I know that had this problem (myself included) fixed it by moving to a Nvidia card, I remember one of them managed to fix it by using a super old amd driver found by someone in the AMD forums experiencing the same issue (I think it was from 2014), but I do not recommend that if you play other games, I moved from RX550 to GTX1050Ti and never experienced any problem again. I know it sucks but it is what it is. If by any chance you dont use AMD then your issue might be different.

achievment get : necroing a 4 year old post. you better hop on discord or make a new post tbf

anyway, forget about it or get used to it. the developer XLegend, barely, or not at all, does any optimization to newer hardware & drivers(both amd and nvidia) however amd will suffer more. u will have freezes even with 3090, hence why your old laptop can run it well.
