newbie hex and counter games

I'd really like to get into some hex and counter wargames. What game would you recommend for a beginner? something easy to learn to get into more advanced games?

Order of battle is the top game after panzer corps.
Try Hex of steel too ( more strategic)

Panzer Corps Gold and the Strategic Command series are pretty good place to start.
Unity of command is also good though it lacks an engrossing scope.
